MDS speaks the truth about the reality in which he lives and the issues that we all deal with, but always sums up his stories with a silver lining or positive message. His motto is "Turn your tragedy to triumph & pain into perseverance" as Modern Day Soulja himself is a living testimony of such. His music is for the everyday individual dealing with the daily struggles of life. He goes by Modern Day Soulja because he has dealt with such tradgedy & loss, but has never given up. He truly believes each & every one of us is a Soulja, stating "We live our own war, we fight our own battles". This mantra he lives by everyday in hopes to relate to those who listen to his music & use it for inspiration. MDS is your everyday person who hopes to inspire even just one person at a time knowing that is all it takes to create a chain reaction of love, hope, & positivism.
