Allen Hinds was raised in Alabama, exposed to blues early, trained in jazz, toured the world with top R&B and jazz artists. He's been on staff at Musician's Inst. In Hollywood for 20 years. Obvious influences include Robben Ford, Alan Holdsworth, but has developed a style purely his own. Harmonically rich without being too academic, soulful without sounding cliché'.
