"Mike Felten Is The Real DealL" -Illinois Entertainer Mike has been playing since the 1960's. That's right. A veteran of rock, country and blues bands. Mike sat in Muddy Waters bedroom, had Buddy Guy show him around the blues clubs where Willie Dixon, Junior Wells and Mighty Joe Young among others were hanging out. The 1970's found Mike playing folk gigs at places like the Fifth Peg and Orphans in Chicago, alongside guys like Steve Goodman & John Prine. In 1979 he began a long tenure as owner of the Record Emporium in Michigan, Wisconsin and Chicago. All the while playing in bands from the Iron Range down to the big city. Now he does 80+shows a year in rock bars and coffee shops, raucous sports bars and festivals. You may see him on a flat bed truck or the Barrymore Theater in Madison, WI, in your living room or in front of thousands rallying to a cause. It's not about the glitz, it's a way of life.
