These are songs written from the heart with a lot of relationship sweat added. Some of my best friends contributed to the album, adding their amazing writing skills. My daddy Bill, and my cousin Jeff also pitched in with their awesome talent and ability to craft a tune. The guitar work is from Tim Bowen and my dad and yes, it sounds like this live! It was difficult choosing songs for this album but I think we landed on some great ones. For girls who have dated guys that almost tell the truth "sure you're not lyin' not exactly"...check out "Absence of Truth". The pencil marks are carved into the dining room table on that one. "Punch Drunk Love" was written with my cousin Jeff and good friend Kace and is one of my favorite songs to play live - - this is where the country soul comes in. Thanks to all of the musicians that contributed on the album, all of my family and friends that support me at shows; Kristen, Jason, Kathy, Jeff, Lynne, Grant, Hope, Paul, Estella, and too many others to name.
