简介
Singer/songwriter Piper Jones is a Contemporary Christian artist that delivers a worthy message with her powerful voice to inspire audiences. A native of Nashville, Tennessee, Piper found her voice when she started singing in her church choir at the age of 4. She credits her grandmother as the inspiration that helped kick start her pursuit of becoming a singer, encouraging Piper to "do what makes her happy." Piper was a contestant on the 14th season of 'American Idol', impressing judge Jennifer Lopez enough for her to call Piper a 'star'. Piper is currently an independent artist with the goal of using her gift of song and voice to the remind listeners of the goodness, and faithfulness of Jesus. Sticking closely to her roots in the church, Piper wants to be known as a Worship artist that helps people encounter Jesus in a very real way. She is diligently working on a debut EP, which is sure to help the awaiting audience understand Piper's vision, encapsulated in the lyric, "Lord, I trust you because you love. You're not against me, you are for me!" A word from Piper Jones: "Lord I Trust You" was written after the American Idol process. It was such a difficult time in my life, and if I’m being completely transparent, I began to question if God was really calling me to music. But His still, small voice said, “My will, not yours.” And so, I stepped out on faith and began to trust that His promises still stood. We often hold our gifts and talents so closely to us, that when God wants to do something new or move in a different direction, we get discouraged because it didn’t look like what we thought. But this is how “Lord I Trust You” was birthed. God has a plan and a purpose specifically designed for each of us. Know that even in the process of waiting, God’s purpose for your life is still valid. You are fearfully and wonderfully made by the Creator of heaven and earth. The one who placed each star in the sky knows your name and He calls you His beloved. Be encouraged that His promises still stand. Always. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” You are special. God loves you and is ever-mindful of all of His children.
