Stephen Bak (The Area Man) is an Indie-Folk singer songwriter based in Milford, CT. This debut album, The Birds, encapsulates the energy and frenetic drive of his live performances with minimalist but clean production thanks to Recording Engineer and Co-Producer Sam Enright. Trey Lundquist's drums provide the steady-handed heartbeat to this rootsy and thoughtful collection of tunes. The songs hang together, relating the many adventures of a mighty little songbird and his efforts to make his voice heard against the harsh winds that blow through the lonesome spaces that he seeks. Holding fast to his friends, and the warmth of his own warbling, he hopes to spin tales of triumph over all that is terrible and trying. The resulting record is a testament to those trials -
