I have been playing open mic nights around Perth for the past 12 months after making my own music and only playing for friends and family for years before. The experience of playing my music live and sharing with other people, watching it inspire and move them has inspired me to make this EP. I named it 'Wings' because over this year I feel like I have grown my own pair and taken flight with the help, love and support from those around me.

I want to use the rest of this space to say thank you to all of my friends, family and followers who have supported me (as Deers Don't Wave on Facebook and as an individual) and helped to make this EP possible. I have been making music for a while and I’m so happy that I can share it with you all. Special thank you to everyone involved in the making; Darren Halifax (Satellite Recording Studio) for recording and producing my first EP with me. To the musicians; Roy Martinez (Bass Guitar), Tristen Parr (Cello), Gus McKay (Harmonica) and Bronton Ainsworth (Percussion) – each of you brought your own magic to my songs. To Chris Wiegele (CK Images) for the photography and putting the artwork together, Sylvain Junoy (Artwork), Rhiannon (Hair), Georgia (Makeup) and Elayne Jarvis for making me pretty for the photo-shoot.
