Music Makers of Nepal is a compilation album featuring some of the most accomplished and reknowned classical, fusion and folk musician of Nepal. Composed and arranged in a duet format, simillar to the eastern classical concept of ‘Jugalbandi’, this album fuses a wide variety of instruments, styles and musicians, some paired together and recorded for the first time. Twenty of Nepal’s most skilled and versatile artists came together to compose and record this ground breaking first release from the Kathmandu Music Center label. Encompasing a board variety of styles and genres such as modern folk, blues, light classical and jazz, this album is groovy, moody and distinctly Nepalese blend of world music and ethno - fusion.
