The world lost an awesome person this past year to brain cancer. Mark Pace was an honest and dear son, brother, husband, father and friend. I had the honor of knowing him and singing this song at his memorial service. His wife Andrea shared with me that this was the last song Mark had learned to play on guitar. To me the words of the chorus ring true. Mark had battled this cancer and defeated it....but after years of remission it came back. The last time I saw Mark he was his normal upbeat self and months later he was gone. I, like many others always thought that I would see him again. I know he is in a better place but to pay tribute to him and his family I recorded this acoustic version of Fire and Rain by James Taylor. Every penny made off of this song goes directly to The Pace Family and their organization that supports brain cancer research.
