Konrad Black专辑介绍:by Andy Kellman240 Volts has quietly become one of the best sources for lustrous microhouse, with most of its downcast tracks coated in midnight blue. Each of the four tracks on Konrad Black's 2002 debut for the label played a role in this, and each of the three tracks on this follow-up continue the hot streak. In fact, if the two releases were combined, the result would be just as substantial -- if not more so -- as label heads Swayzak's Dirty Dancing. Given the surreal, magnetic moods Black creates, his work is suited for the soundtrack of a suspense thriller as much as it's dancefloor-ready. After all, John Carpenter (through the tense, gauzy synth work) and Rob Hood (through the uncluttered precision) seem to be significant drawing points -- especially on "Busting Down the Door With a Shotgun" and "Still Waiting... Haven't Even Started Yet."
