The Nomad Nipples plays Blaupunkt. Blaupunkt was a Norwegian new wave band that existed between 1978 and 1982. The band was originally founded under the name Ski Patrol, but soon shifted to Blaupunkt. The band consisted of Kåre Berntzen and Harald Haakstad (guitar), Bjorn Role (bass), Tone Rønning (vocals) and Ola Snortheim (drums). In 1980 gave this crew released an EP with three songs, including Wenche Myhre's classic "Let me be young", which was an underground sh*t, and that was re-released on the compilation album Anarchy & Chaos in 1992, which was also reissued in 2007. After this release stopped Snortheim for betting on The Press. He was replaced by Gunnar Hans Lien, and in 1981 came the eponymous debut album Blaupunkt. The single machine maker came also in this regard. Although Blaupunkt not stood back for simultaneous band with regard to creativity and intensity, resulting band neither the same success or the same legacy as bands like Meat, The Aller Værste !, The Press and The Cut. LP theirs is one of the few Norwegian LPs from this period which is not re-released on CD. The Nomad Nipples pays homage to Blaupunkt by covering their classic new wave song "Maskin Maskin", The EP includes a live version (with guest apperance by noise artists Lasse Marhaug, Tore H. Boe and extreme trumpeting by Ziggy) as well as an infamous remix by Origami Replika. The Nomad Nipples label "Machine Machine" was named after the song.
