简介
Growing up as a preacher's son in the small hardscrabble mill city of Fall River, Massachusetts, Will Elliott first taught himself, at the age of fifteen, to play guitar by listening to Willie Nelson’s pristine concept album, Red Headed Stranger. Will chose Townes Van Zandt, Leonard Cohen, and Gram Parsons as his musical influences and eventually began to write his own songs by the time he turned nineteen years old. In 2004, he released a six-song EP entitled Books and Lovers, made up of home demos and live recordings. His first studio album, The Doorman, was released on July 1st, 2005, and features eight original songs that are supported by drummer Jake Greenlaw and the harmonies of Erica Soucy. Feeling that a move to Arizona would give his musical career a boost, Will relocated to Tucson and began the next chapter in his life: the often uphill battle of trying to find an audience and, more simply and importantly, to be heard. Word about Will's music grew steadily and spread rapidly throughout the city. Subsequently he has played in just about every major venue in the area [and a few minor venues as well], all to great critical reviews and kind words. Now, without question, the voice of Will Elliott is being heard. Will has invariably found an audience, and in return, his audience is pleased to have found him.
