简介
When I was a kid, playing guitar in my basement, I used to imagine what it would take for me to record an album that, maybe wasn’t absolutely amazing, but was as good as any other albums that I could buy in a music store. I wondered what those songs would sound like, and what it would take to get those songs out of me. I wondered who would play drums, or bass, or keys. I wondered where I would record this album and who would produce it and mix it. My questions have been answered with, “This Is Life.” “This Is Life” is the third, major, CD I’ve released. It is an amazing collection of my newest influences and oldest influences blending together to make songs like, “I’m On The Outside,” or “You’re Not Superman,” which is in the movie soundtrack for the independent movie, “The Third Nail.” “This Is Life” is the first album that is completely me. Every aspect of this album was controlled by me, and no one else had even the slightest influence on it. I wrote all the songs, played guitar, bass, drums, keys, and sang every song. And I did all this in Nashville, at home, in my bedroom studio. I was the engineer and producer and did all the mixing and mastering. But this was nothing new, because I’ve been doing all these things for over six years. But this was the first time I ever attempted doing the CD artwork myself and duplicating all the CD’s myself. And I know some people would say, “you need those fresh ears” or “different perspectives.” To them I say, “listen to it!” “This is Life” is not the greatest album of the year. And no matter how much I drink, I can’t ever get it to sound as good as studio albums backed by $100,000+. But this is an album that is as good, if not better, than most new music you hear. And It doesn’t matter whether you’re 50 years old or 15. This album blends old sound with new. And you can have it delivered right to your home for $10. Try to find a new CD in a music store for $10.
