With her new single “Get Loose,” Elishema is hotter than ever and ready to shake the world with her amazing talents for singing, song writing, and performing. Her album set to be released by late spring entitled “New Beginnings,” under Inway Records, is filled with up-tempo dance hits and soulful R&B/pop ballads that incorporate real life situations, and uplifting themes. Expanding out from her 2001 independent debut release “No” which sold many copies locally, Elishema’s latest masterpiece “New Beginnings” is set to be distributed internationally with a potential to exceed platinum level. Elishema was born in Chicago, IL in the fall of 1987 to loving parents who had a passion for music and singing as well. She discovered her enthusiasm for music and her ability to sing and write songs at a very early age. Throughout her primary schools years she expanded her desire for music and continued to improve her abilities by learning as much as she could about her talent. She played various instruments ranging from the saxophone to the clarinet, but her love was singing and she performed vocally any chance she got. When Elishema was eleven, her family relocated to West Africa and they lived there for some time. While living there in West Africa she dreamed that she would become a superstar and had the potential to be great in the music industry. Recognizing that her dream was very real and because of her amazing talents, her father revised his plans abroad and returned to America. Once back in America, Elishema wasted no time. She got a vocal coach, and took vocal lessons. She would enter every talent showcase that came her way, and eventually she teamed up with a family friend who was an exceptional guitar player. Together they created some great music, which they anticipated would be released one day. While she attended high school, Elishema joined the school choir, and was ultimately discovered by her first music manger while he sat in on her choir rehearsal. Being amazed by her vocal ability, he quickly recruited her as lead singer for his R&B girl group, which he intended to develop and seek a record deal for them. In spite of her great efforts, this undertaking didn’t work out. So, Elishema moved on and through a musical showcase she meets a well-known Chicago producer named Traxster, who was moved by a demo of her music she shared with him. For a moment they collaborated and some promising music was created from their association that has yet to be introduced commercially. Later, Elishema, was again persuaded to become a member of another girl group where she gave her best vocal ability, yet it soon failed to meet her expectations, so she moved on further. Soon after, she was introduced to another Chicago producer whom she worked with for about a year to create an album he intended to shop to the major labels, but that project was never completed. After years and years of broken promises made by these producers and managers, to uplift her career to musical stardom, Elishema soon realized that in order to reach the level of success she wanted, she would have to take matters into her own hands. So she learned all she could about the music industry, which eventually led her to team up with her current manager to form an entertainment company, and together made big things happen. They have since worked very hard and she has landed a deal with a Chicago-based Independent label, “Inway Records,” which led to the release of her latest single “Get Loose,” too finally present Elishema to the world.
