Rapping since the age sixteen, emcee Mic Ripz has left his mark on the tri-state underground hip hop scene. With his raspy voice, rapid fire flow, and intricate word play he is a welcome change from a stagnant hip hop scene.

Mic Ripz follows his Swordz n Scrolls mixtape series, which includes volumes one, two, and 2.5 with Metro North Music. Using his extensive knowledge of film, Ripz has created mixtapes sampling from all mediums including movies, TV shows, and vinyl to create unique dungeon style beats that are tailor made for his heavy hitting rap.

Ripz has appeared on BET’s Freestyle Fridays, Fight Klub, 2008’s Hot 97 Summer Jam Battles as well as the Funk Master Flex car show. He has also shared stages with Papoose, Pharoah Monch, Saigon, T.I., Fabolous, Maino, Percee P, Blacastan, Mr Lif, and countless others.

Born 1982 in NYC Mic Ripz has been on the move his whole life. He has lived in Westchester County, Queens, and Texas before finally settling down in Connecticut.
