A couple weeks ago while listening to Minced Meat Radio on CJAM I came across something very interesting that was play on there. It was a track from The Great Mundane & DJ Slouch's EP titled The Wires Remix EP. The fellow who calls himself The Great Mundane (b. Jeffrey Acciaioli) was born and raised in Farmington, Michigan and has since made his exodus to places such as Chicago and now Portland. Citing influences from classical, jazz, bossa nova, hip-hop, and electronica, The Wires Remix EP heavily layered with lo-fi synths mixed with killer drums and catchy head' boppin melodies.
