简介

Swearingen & Kelli is comprised of singer-songwriters and producers AJ Swearingen and Jayne Kelli. They have been performing their signature vocal blend across the United States in theaters and opera houses since 2012. Their silky rich harmonies, balanced gorgeously on top of guitar and piano arrangements, echo the classic artists of the past. With several solo albums under their belt, the artists' debuted their first folk-pop joint album, which they produced, in 2014. Folk icon Tom Rush (credited for helping to get Joni Mitchell and James Taylor recognized in the late 60's) recorded and included their song, "You're Not Here With Me" on his album What I Know. DMX licensed another track off their album, "Give Everything Up" nationwide. Infatuated with the guitar, Swearingen began lessons at the age of 13 and began performing professionally in his late teens. He studied the Julliard vocal method privately for over a decade. AJ also performs as a lead vocalist and guitarist in the highly acclaimed symphony pops show "The Sounds of Simon & Garfunkel". Kelli began writing and recording her songs at the age of 15 in the small town of Lapeer, MI. Just a year prior she began her self taught study of the guitar. Her first release, "Black or Gold" caught attention and had critics calling her a formidable talent with elegantly poetic and emotionally charged songs. Together and separately, AJ and Jayne have shared the stage with artists including Kenny Rogers, Crystal Gayle, Livingston Taylor, John McCutcheon, Dave Mason and many more. “Aj Swearingen has been performing for 20 years. Jayne Kelli is in her 20s. But as a duo, they make remarkably intimate folk-pop with heavy doses of Americana and Country. Their collaboration has proven fruitful for both, as they have toured the country together and are working on a debut album for release this spring.”— Jay Cridlin, Tampa Bay Times On Swearingen & Kelli: A two-piece folk pop duo featuring deeply drawling singer-songwriter AJ Swearingen and husky-sweet crooning songstress Jayne Kelli, their vocals gorgeously balanced against dual acoustic guitar arrangements. (Palladium Theater, St. Petersburg) ”— Creative Loafing "Jayne Kelli and her entourage began their set with marketable charts like "Wayward", a folksy, humble piece that recalled the vibe Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova found in Once. Kelli's humility at the microphone endears the listener. And when she and her partner (Swearingen) sing, "There's a straight line between your heart and mine",the listener can see it, unbent and glistening in her true tones." -Concert Review by Don O' Cull, The Examiner
