PASSION. AMBITION. LOVE. Above all things, these three words have always resonated throughout Amanda Blush’s life. Music entwines each of them as she continues to create her musical vision: “Music is and always will be the fundamental reason for my existence, I grew up listening to icons like Michael Jackson, Prince, Madonna and The Beatles. I grew up with a fever for escapism; music always managed to take to me places I only held in my imagination. I admired the creators like Quincy Jones, David Foster, The Funk Brothers; people who weren’t necessarily in the limelight like the artists they built the foundation for” Currently Recording and co-writing her album with Grammy Award Winning Producer/Singer/ Songwriter Ian Prince, Amanda returns to London, England to wrap up the process: “Working with Ian Prince is a magical experience that I’m not sure I could describe with words. He’s the most wonderfully talented musician I have ever had the privilege of working with and I am humbled by his passion for life and music. We create a positive atmosphere to collaborate together in, and our love of the creative process is what continues to drive us towards our goal” Blush and Prince plan to release in the North American market and then Europe. Distributed by “CD Baby” Blush’s single “One in a Million” featuring rap artist Remi Prince is planned to be released to radio March of 2010. At the ripe age of four, Amanda discovered her fervor for music. Her Mother, Velisha, describes her daughter’s ardor: “That girl sang in her sleep, literally. Amanda realized very quickly what she wanted to do, and as a parent I had to ensure her awareness of my support would not go unrecognized. I wanted her to believe in her talent, because I sure did, and still do. Most kids her age we’re out on playgrounds or with friends; Amanda stayed in and wrote and composed in the ways she knew how. She has an intense curiosity to learn and her inquisitiveness is what helps her grow as an artist and as a musician.” Amanda recalls growing up: “you know, it’s funny because other children thought I was strange because I wanted to play the piano instead of hide and seek or tag. I didn’t have many friends in elementary or junior high, I don’t think people could relate to me, because I’m different and I embrace my differences in a very obvious way. However, I wouldn’t change a thing because those experiences have shaped me into the individual and most importantly artist I am today.” Raised in a nomadic lifestyle, by the age of eight Amanda had traveled extensively to nine different countries, Fiji, Australia, Thailand to name a few. She has a cultural background unlike many nineteen year olds, which she believes will prepare her for the demands of the music industries extreme commitments. www.amandablush.com www.myspacemusic.com/amandablushmusic
