Vasco Da Gama at its finest. This CD features Nik Gerboth on drums and vocals, Tommy D Daugherty on bass, Pat Daugherty on keys and vocals, Dan Kellar on violin, Lou Cataldo on percussion and drums, and Laurie Geltman on guitar and vocals. Vasco Da Gama ran amuck in the Boston music scene from 1984-1989, starting as a trio of Nik, Tom, and Pat, growing into a quintet with Dan and Lou, and then replacing Tom with Laurie. They released 2 albums: Sex Sells Sex and Mary. This CD features many unreleased tracks as well as selections from their 2 albums. Laurie and Dan went on to many years of playing and recording together, Tommy D landed in L.A. and engineered and mixed Tupac's Makavelli album and is a top L.A. producer, Lou remains a fixture in the New England area a a drummer and founding member of the Freeze, Nik went on to a greater reward, and Pat has lead the group New York Electric Piano since 2001.
