The fourth and long-awaited album from Summit Dub Squad takes listeners on a "ROOTSMAN JOURNEY" with the crew across the high desert Southwest. 13 fresh tracks (11 originals and 2 very nice dub versions) of signature sounds and lyrical stylings, the album flows well and is never boring. Along for the Journey are many featured guests, including: veteran Hopi reggae artist Casper LomaDawa of Casper & The Mighty 602 Band fame; GreenHouse Fresh Produce mc's make it back letting us know why they love HipHop; and new to the posse, but not the vibes, Jah-Know stepped into the studio one night and made big impacts on three of the tunes adding sweet, sweet sax and possibly even sweeter flute licks to the already rumbling riddims. Like any true "Rootsman Journey" the album starts with an "Early Morning". After a quick introductory, poetically versed few words from Huntermon, and a tight dj SOE scratch encouraging the listener to "Rise Up", SDS lead singer/MC B Dub shines his lyrical light into the tune, "start(ing) the day right with a blessing and a meditation."
