Olivia King is a singer, songwriter, dancer, and designer from Warwick, Rhode Island. Her sound is defined as a cross between Pop and Soul. Inspired by the unique sounds of Lauryn Hill, Musiq Soulchild, and Michael Jackson; Olivia combines old-school dance music with a modern twist. Olivia has been taking music seriously since she was 16 years old. She started performing in the Boston area at local clubs as well as on radio and TV stations. At age 17, she started writing her own music and by 18 wrote a jingle for Kudo's Trading Company in San Francisco, California. At 19 she auditioned for the popular television show "The Voice," and made it through two rounds. Olivia has also performed in several artist showcases including an ASCAP Showcase run by William Morris and "Nema's Boom Boom Room," in New York City. This showcase is run by Nema Kemar, celebrity event planner and Jeff Robinson, CEO and President of MBK Entertainment. She released her first mixtape "I'M O.K." on October 1, 2013 via HotNewHipHop. This mixtape included original pieces and a few remakes of current, popular records such as "Forbidden Fruit" and "Girls Love Beyonce." Olivia released her first music video for a song off her mixtape titled, "Shawty For Life." Olivia acquired backup dancers in 2013 and the group has opened for August Alsina, Eric Bellinger, Hi-Rez and Emilio Rojas. She and her dancers perform in popular nightclubs such as Santos Party House in NYC, Naga Nightclub in Boston, and Lupos Heartbreak Hotel in Providence. Olivia's debut single, "In My Head" has already been placed on Spotify's "Discover Weekly" Playlist and continues to gain traction Aside from music, Olivia is also the founder of Sugar Reign, an online fashion boutique which includes everything from jewelry, to clothing, phone cases, and more.
