Album Notes The Narwhal in the Cornflower Sky is an electronic music fairytale that unfolds in three main acts. This whimsical story, inspired by stage play musicals and 60s cinema, is about the innocence of childhood dreaming and universal wonder. Each track provokes a different emotional response from the listener. It is meant to be listened to from beginning to end, and we have included the full album mix as the final track. Cover art was photographed by the talented artist, Carla Minnichhofer. Biography Wunderfish is an electronic music artist, producer, remixer, and educator based in Honolulu, Hawaii. He has been making electronic music and composing original soundtracks since the early 1990s. He was recently inspired to quit his nine-to-five day job in digital marketing to focus on music full-time and hit the open road. During his travels, he has been collecting unique field recordings and continuing to gain sonic inspiration for his productions. He was recently named one of three winners (out of 500 entries) for Ludovico Einaudi's Night remix competition, which will be released on Decca Records via Spotify and iTunes in 2017. Wunderfish's music can be described as a narration of stories and emotion through sound, and is heavily inspired by 80s synth pop and 90s progressive house. Influences include electronic music pioneers Vince Clarke (Erasure, Yaz, Depeche Mode); Orbital; Underworld; and Leftfield. When not making music, Wunderfish teaches electronic music production and technology to primary- and middle-school students at Computational Thinkers in Honolulu. He is also a partner at Street Cinema, LLC., an independent film production company, where he is the primary sound designer, soundtrack producer, and marketing director. Wunderfish completed the Ableton Producer Certificate program with honors at the renowned Dubspot NYC electronic music school in 2014, and is an avid vagabonding traveler and transcendental meditator.
