CINDER JEAN AND ROBERT THOMAS Cinder Jean and Robert Thomas have been performing for several years together in Santa Barbara as a duo. Cinder comes from a contemporary Jazz, folk roots back ground and Robert comes from a Texas blues roots background. Cinder and Robert play blues, originals and Hawaiian-slack key guitar together. Both artists have been writing, recording and composing in this genre for the past several years. Although Cinder and Robert come from different musical back grounds, the two performers have merged their musical styles together to create a harmonic convergence that is truly unique to the listener. CINDER JEAN Cinder was born in Manhattan Beach California and moved to Santa Barbara with her family when she was eight years old. Her early gigs were at venues in Santa Barbara and Ventura opening for artists such as (Dave Mason, Al Stewart, Donavon, Don Mc Lean, Arlo Guthrie and many more. Cinder decided to move back to her home in Santa Barbara after touring on the road for fifteen years. She then met blues guitarist Robert Thomas. Cinder released her CD Strands of Time in 2005. Robert recorded two songs with Cinder on that CD "Cat On Your Doorstep" and "The Shoeshine Man." Cinder just released Spirit Of The East Wind a in spring of 2010. Cinder and Robert have spent the last several summers on the Big Island of Hawaii writing new songs together inspiring them to release this new CD "My Hawaiian Hut." ROBERT THOMAS Robert Thomas was born in Dallas Texas and at an early age was influenced by blues music. Relocating to the west coast he has released two successful CD’s. "Natural Born Thing" and "Every Night and Everyday. Robert opened for Chicago Blues legend Jimmy Rogers and making a well received appearance at the 1995 Ojai "Bowlful of Blues" Robert was invited to perform at the 1996 Santa Barbara International Jazz Festival. His performance was a knock out! So much so that he was invited back for the 1997 festival as well. Later that year Robert played to a huge attentive audience at the prestigious Monterey Bay Blues Festival.
