Darnell Smitherson, an upcoming rapper from Harlem, New York City, embodies an aggressively poetic character, seeking the answers to a bottomless well of questions. Smitherson began his career as a producer and poet, eventually surfacing as a rapper with a different kind of story to tell, in a similar vein of other east coast rappers including MF Doom, Little Brother, and Nas.
