This is the first release from Connor Chee's album "The Navajo Piano," a collection of original piano pieces inspired by traditional Navajo music. The term "vocable" is generally used to describe vocal sounds (which have no meaning) used in the creation of Native American music. In this instance, the vocables have been transcribed for piano, bringing a style of music that was previously strictly oral to a new musical outlet.
