This is the debut album of St. Louis-based singer-songwriter Lizzie Weber. Her 10-track album consists of a dynamic range of musical genres, from full-band folk-pop and folk-jazz songs to raw, stripped down songs on piano or guitar. Weber is profoundly influenced by such songwriters as Josh Ritter, The Swell Season, Joni Mitchell and Laura Marling, and has been compared to such artists as Mazzy Star, Neko Case, and Jewel. Weber weaves an autobiographical narrative in her songs with an emotional openness and honesty.
