Growing up and honing their sound during the genesis of Thailand’s underground rock scene heavily affected the music of Ghost Story as they began alongside hardcore and punk bands before graduating to progressive and alternative styles. Melding melody, energy and technicality Ghost Story combines post-hardcore the likes of Glassjaw and Hopesfall with the nuances of bands such as Japan’s Buddhistson and Hong Kong’s Whence He Came, all with an openness to progress and experiment with song writing and sound construction. . Starting off at the very beginning of Thailand's punk and underground scene the band has played with acts that have gone on to legendary status and have taken part in many of the country's most revolutionary shows including Noise Pop and Yos Fest taking to the stage with top Thai and Asian bands such as BrandNewSunset, Love Me Butch, The Love Song and After the Sky. The band has spent years refining their live show with the determination to win over audiences one show at a time. The band spent the last 5 years writing and recording their debut album as Ghost Story. Done completely in DIY fashion out of their homes, an emphasis was put on proving the viability of home recording for independent bands. As fans of the DIY spirit the group has made a major point of putting out their album for free download with CDs available for purchase for listeners looking to support them.
