Carpe Diem, the new album by the Puerto Rican artist, Jorge Chafey. A culmination and confession on love, technology and existentialism by a Latino Millennial. The album has a fresh disco funk vibe similar to bands like Denver, Alex Anwandter and Cineplexx. The overall production, in which Jorge played all of the instruments, has a very colorful and sensual ambience, filled with vintage synths and scratchy funk guitar. The album's strengths lie in its catchy melodies and funky beats, which will stay with you long after you've stopped listening. The artist mentioned that the artwork of Keith Haring had a big influence on the artistic vision as did the music of Chic, Blondie and ESG; a few things he picked up while living for a decade in NYC.
