Freddy (Alfredo Smorfa) is a self-taught singer born in Catanzaro on March 15, 1986. Educated to good music, as a child shows his enthusiasm to Freddie Mercury and Queen and begins to fantasize about the possibility of a musical career. At the age of 19, he performed for the first time live on a real stage in St. Onofrio (Vibo Valentia, Catanzaro): It was the first evening with Bassa Frequenza band and the calendar signed August 14, 2005. After this Alfredo did a lot of experience with local bands, including: Out Of the Party (2006), the Avida.Mente (2007), the SaSa Band which later became Effetti Collaterali (2008) the NuCode and Sexual White Chocolates (2009). With some of these bands he also made unreleased demos. In the same year Alfredo participates to Amici di Maria De Filippi audition, an italian talent show live on Channel 5. 2010 marks a radical change of direction: he decided to embark a new artistic journey that will give new passions, so he joined the musical company Le Corde di Euterpe and interprets characters for three popular operas: Jesus Christ Superstar (2011), Romeo & Juliet (2011-2012) and Dracula Opera Rock (2013). At the beginning of 2013, however, Alfredo feels again the need to get back on stage as a solo artist and he becomes part of the Eighty Way band. In the same year, he left the musical company and participate to the second edition of Catanzaro informa Eight Stars talent show where he won the critics’ award named to Ettore Capicotto and the second position. In June, he also participates to UNO Voice Roman Talent Show created by Davide Papasidero, Francesca Pignatelli Gavazzi and Tommaso (XFactor and The Voice Of Italy), where he is just a finalist but not a winner. Back in Catanzaro, Alfredo begins the new tour with Eighty Way. In 2015 Alfredo the singer starts a collaboration with Francesco Silipo (Medialand) and in may he realeased the first single "Come una Fenice" from the first debut Album.
