Coming with a unique style of Reggae, Rock and Funk, the Uplifters have created a sound that is both positive and uplifting. George Molina Uplifters’ style of writing conveys urgency for peace and a revolution of the spirit and heart. In songs such as Times of War, George writes, “When we were young/we used to play/those games of war/but now we’re grown/and we can’t afford/to hurt no more.” His lyrics reveal his passion and commitment towards the peace movement. “The Uplifters come from Northern California. It is without a doubt that the environment we grew up in helped shape our view of the world. We hung out in San Francisco and Berkeley, places where people really stood up for what they believed in,” explains George. The Uplifters consist of four original members: George Molina Uplifter - Singer/Songwriter Dan Heflin - Saxophonist/Producer/Composer Greg Mcfall - Bass Player Brad Ranola - Drummer Until recently, the Uplifters were five members with keyboardist Dan Allan Atkins. Dan Allans death has been a driving force and inspiration to the band. His life will be missed and contributions to the record always remembered. The Uplifters goal is to spread their message around the world. Music is the healing of a nation. When we come together as one, anything is possible.
