The Language Of is a compilation of ten new compositions by eight New York City experimental composers. The esthetic range of the music is wide - with influences ranging from metal to minimalism, Bernhard Lang to Salvatore Sciarrino, electronic music to noise – yet the compositions have a common thread: this is serious music written by serious composers and performed by some of the best instrumentalists in New York City, which means some of the best instrumentalists in the world.
