While growing up, Stephanie Anne Johnson’s ears were filled with the likes of Etta James, Cab Calloway, Bonnie Raitt, and Aerosmith. When those influences melded with guitar lessons, voice coaching, and a study of the classics, a raw, soulful dreaminess began to pour from her pen and her lips. As gritty emotion spilled forth, Stephanie found herself performing her songs to international audiences in a wide range of venues. From the intimate setting of an acoustic performance in her hometown of Tacoma, to the always moving stage of a cruise ship in the Mediterranean, Stephanie’s voice exposes the underlying emotions that we as humans so often have to hide in our day-to-day existence.
