I have been working under the name 'Black Horizon' since the end of 1994. Most of the time being a solo-project, although the debut album, we worked as a group. Starting out being quite influenced by industrial music, I gradually evolved into a more personal sounding style. I really like dynamics; Some tracks hard, some tracks mellow, sometimes very electronic, or minimalistic, at other times I just like traditional rock. It depends on what the lyrics need. I started out writing in English, as was also the wish of out then-record company. From my second album onward, I started working in Dutch. For me that meant an enormous leap forward. The music grew and I could move on. I like albums more than separate songs. I like the option you have to make songs work together on an album. 0:[wit] was written after a three year stop from making music. I was involved in a study an could not work on my music. I started from scratch because I felt a different inspiration. I had an unfinished album lying around, which had the working title '0'. After writing 0:[wit] I decided to release both. First I finish the old one, then I release the new one. 0:[black] in 2013 and 0:[wit] in 2014. I created an eBook for your iPad with all artwork and lyrics for you to download for free. Creating albums allows you as an artist to grow and evolve over time.
