Bud Melvin spent his early years in his neighbor's basement making inscrutable boombox recordings while comsuming mass quantities of powdered donuts and cola beverages. He has been a pioneer in the chip music renaissance since 2001, taking his performances across the United States to Europe, using only a banjo and a Nintendo Gameboy running LSDJ as his accompaniment. With his unconventional instrumentation, quirky pop gems, country-western anthems and his singular humor, Bud Melvin represents a unique force in the chiptune scene.
