“Hakuna” is shona and means ‘there is nothing’ or in this context ‘there is no one like you’. It’s a love song dedicated to my fiance letting her know she is the only one I want. It’s a beautiful love song that I made with TRKmusik and Yourz Trully, and I believe many people can easily relate to it. It speaks about finding and choosing that one person that you love so much that you only have eyes for them. The process of creating this song was truly collaborative with many different pieces coming together to create a masterpiece. Of notable mention, I managed to get one of the best sound engineers on the African continent in Simba Tagz to mix and master the record and it sounds amazing! “Hakuna” is a beautiful African celebration of love and the soundtrack to the “happily ever after” of all the lovers out there!
