Matthew Pickup & the Movement are a Modern Rock band, based on Canada's East Coast. Critics praise their musical releases as not being caught in one particular genre, rather drawing comparions to Zeppelin and Hendrix with their groovy blues rock, and then in another breath being likened to the soulful delivery of Ben Harper or Feist. The skilled musicians featured on this project come from a varied background, leaving the one common thread being the aim to create fresh and attractive sounds, based around inspired songwriting.
