Joe Cagle began writing and performing his original music when he was 16 years old. His motivation to start writing his own songs came from a discovered love of the Dave Matthews Band. He also found inspiration in singer/songwriters like John Mayer, Jack Johnson, and other bands such as Blues Traveler. Most of his writing stems from his small town, north Alabama roots and the bond he developed with his friends and family throughout the years. Listeners will find a mix of blues, country, and rock when they click on a Joe Cagle track and will relate to the message behind the lyrics.
