“La Chamba” means to put in work, and is a word used to describe your "hustle" throughout Latin America. We were born from a love and respect for Peruvian "Chicha" music of the 60's & 70's- its deep Amazonian & urban Latin-Psychedelic groove, inspired us to create our own Los Angeles based sound. Growing up in L.A.'s humble working-class communities, we were moved by Chicha's personal and social message, and by the parallels that exist in the pulse of barrios across the Americas. Our music encourages folks to let loose on the dance floor, and release their grind!
