Linsay & Russell John's debut EP, Sideways Glance, is an eclectic mix of covers and originals with a spatter of jazz here, a little rock there, a little country around the corner. The two original tunes on the EP, 'Oona O'Neill' and 'Every Now & Then,' hone in on similar subjects – lost love and bad timing. This EP is a moment in time for them as they finish their first full-length album for 2017. Linsay Kelly and Rus Stanford came together as artists in 2015. Kelly sings with her entire heart and body and mind and, through her trials in this life, has been bringing soul and introspective blues and jazz to the Michiana area with much fervor for the last few years. When asked how she handles the day to day struggle of the universe, she answers, "Bourbon...top shelf bourbon." Stanford is a singer/songwriter/guitarist originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After years of playing with bands and doing a solo act, he heard Kelly sing at an open jazz & blues jam and swore to himself that he was going to play music for that voice someday.
