Cimmone Ferry is singer and songwriter who has been entranced by remixes for years. She released her EP "Becoming" in 2012 and decided to create a remixes EP for one of the most popular songs of the EP titled "Distant Echoes". In the late spring of 2013 she launched a remixes competition that reached over 636,000 people, and drew participants from over a dozen countries. The contest announced that Cimmone would choose one remix as the winner to get released on her Remixes EP. After a few weeks of intense deliberation, she chose a surprising amount of winners, twelve in all; which was stunning news to the participants. "The Remixes, Part One" features three contest winners. Cimmone is releasing a three part remixes EP series in order to release all twelve of the contest winners, in addition to the remixes she already had completed.
