简介
ANGELO DOGBA Born in Ivory Coast, Angelo Dogba is considered one of the early pioneers of the Hip Hop scene in Cote d'Ivoire as well as francophone Africa. With a broad cross section of influences that ranged from local traditional artists, to international music genres such as Hip Hop, R&B, dancehall reggae and pop music as well, one can say that Angelo's sound is truly international. Angelo's music career kicked off in 1998, when he formed the group 'Crazy B'. The group went on to release two albums. Shortly after the release of their second album, Angelo left the group to pursue a solo career and in 2001, he released his first single 'Dogba', which went on to climb to the top of the Ivory Coast charts. During the course of his career, Angelo has earned numerous awards including: * Price of honor African music (Guinea) * African music revelation (Africa Music awards, Gabon) * Gold candlesticks (Ivory Coast) * Star Gold Award (Ivory Coast) * Price of ACEFA (Association of French schools, Ivory Coast) * African Music Award Best Male Artist in New York (African Eye Awards) etc... Angelo has used his passion for music as a tool to serve the community, and has been involved in several charity events in Ivory Coast. He also was a major contributor to the single ‘STOP’, which was Ivory Coast’s version of 'We Are The World' that featured over 10 top artists from the region. Proceeds from the single donated towards Buruli Ulcer research, a disease that continues to plague the youth of Ivory Coast and Africa to this day. Angelo also holds a four-year degree in Economics from the University of Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast). He is also a producer and was the host for nationally televised music show in Ivory Coast called 'Groove International' Angelo is now a resident of New York City, and is signed to Chiblake Productions. He is currently working on a new album and is prepping to release new singles: party anthem "Flags Up" and "Plus Jamais Ca" featuring Grammy nominated R&B group Les Nubians, “no more suffering” feat female rapper Shawnna etc...
