FIREDANCE is the original music composed for Flamenco dance artist Esmeralda Enrique and Kathak dance artist Joanna de Souza. Nominated for a Canadian JUNO award, for Best Global Album, composers Ritesh Das, director of the Toronto Tabla Ensemble and Nicolas Hernandez, flamenco guitarist extraordinaire, developed a score that fully supports the explosive collaboration of these two dance forms – and more importantly, the dance artists. All the music performed on FIREDANCE represents the best in Canadian WORLD music.
