简介

Tony Hooper was born and raised in Northeast Mississippi. Being a ministers son, he grew up in church. Music was a big part of the Hooper family. Tony started playing guitar around age 7, and writing songs at 12. Tony started his own contemporary christian band in high school called "Heart and Soul." The band did one recording which helped launch Tony's ministry. Moving to Red Bay, Al in 1988, Tony teamed up with Lindell Cooley, who mentored him in the area of modern worship. Tony lived in the church basement for 7 years, and became the music minister at Calvary Temple when Lindell moved on. During this time Tony recorded two more projects, "The Shepherds Field" in 1992 and "Month of Sundays" in 1996. "Month of Sundays" earned Tony a place on the Country Christian Charts with the song "One God." 1996 was an awesome year! Tony married his wife, Alicia, and to date they have two children, Madison and Olivia. Tony is an ordained minister, licensed by World Missionary Evangelism, a missions organization dedicated to taking the gospel around the world. Tony's travels include: Italy, Israel, France, Ukraine, Mexico, and all over the US. A missions trip to Italy with Rock Christian Artist, Rick Cua, landed Tony a life long friend, mentor and a spot in the band. Tony has traveled extensively with Rick and recorded two projects, "Like a Cool Drink" and "Won't Fade Away." In 1997 Tony and Alicia moved to Winfield, Al to become the music pastors at Faith Fellowship Church. They spent 5 years in Winfield and then launched out to Atlanta, Ga. to help plant a Church called, "Life Church." From there, Tony and the family moved to Pensacola, Fl. to assist long time friend Lindell Cooley at Brownsville Assembly of God. Brownsville was renowned for a decade of revival that attracted millions. Tony soon became music director for the schools of ministry, BRSM and BMTC, and a co-pastor in the Brownsville Staff. Cross Peace Music, Tony's publishing/record company produced over 20 projects at Brownsville, which included two more for the Hoopers, "Worship Rising" and "Purity," a recording with Alicia. Tony and Alicia spent 3 years at Brownsville and then relocated back in Winfield, Al. where they are today. Tony and Alicia are at Faith Fellowship Church, but traveling, recording, publishing, and teaching are all apart of their regional and world-wide ministry. We are currently on tour with "Men at the Cross" with Michael W. Smith, Heather Headley, Rick Cua and others doing stadium events around the U.S.
