Janay was working for FedEx, and one day she delivered a package to the GM Recording Studio in Gladewater Texas. She just happened to mention that she would love to sing in a real studio. Engineer Johnny Mills was taking a break from recording, and said, “Young lady step into the booth and sing directly into the microphone.” Janay did. And Bunnie Mills C0-producer said, “I heard a singing voice that seemingly sang flawlessly with no effort, and she had a unique voice that was perfect for all kinds of country music. We invited her back to record and she sang 21 songs that were soon released as her debut album entitled, Janay James. The songs became very popular. Bunnie Mills became Janay’s Career Direction Manager, and Johnny Mills (not related) became her Personal Manager. Janay sings a variety of country tunes. Her album portrays her talented voice and emotions in this variety of 21 songs.
