Lambs & Lions was a project that was started in the summer of 2012 by Josiah Contreras, Jackson Mammel and Kyle Wright. All three have an endearing and committed passion to their art. With Kyle on Guitar, Jackson on Drums, Josiah on Bass, and all three on vocals, they've begun writing music that can only be described as "Lambs & Lions" by interweaving elements from many different genres of music, including Alternative Rock, Jazz, Funk, and Indie. Kyle and Jackson have played together since middle school, as they found common ground in their love for music. In the year of 2011-2012, Kyle started his first year of high school at the Rocky Mountain School of Expeditionary Learning, where he met Josiah, a senior at the time, who had been known as the Catholic musician of the school. Having learned several instruments, the bass guitar was his main weapon of choice. The two immediately connected and played music together, throughout the school year. After Josiah graduated from high school, Kyle wanted to bring his two friends together, in the belief that the three of them could soar to new musical heights. Since then, the three have been hard at work, creating their own sound and writing music for others to hear. Josiah Contreras, with his love for playing Music as a method of prayer to God and bringing healing to the world. He doesn't care much about being famous, but rather about learning a deeper spirituality and love. Above all else, the money that could come of this band, means little, compared to living a happy life. On vocals, bass, guitar, ukulele, and Native American flute, he's ready to jam! Kyle Wright keeps the band coming up with new ideas, through his excitement and charisma. Just as strong is his refusal to fall under the influence of money-hungry corporations that control the mainstream music scene, instead, he wants to be the one who influences the people of the world to believe in more than the superficial. On vocals, rhythm and lead guitar, he wants to rock! Jackson Mammel, being the skilled percussionist he is, just wants to play his drums as loud as he can, always keeping a rock solid and creative beat going for the band, while simultaneously going after all the ladies! He's ready to play any rhythm, jot it down in his theory book and bring the dynamics all together!
