The children ask for the songs by name and after our sing along we discuss their meaning. I have conducted full lessons just using the songs as discussion springboards. To top it off Dr. T came to our school and gave an amazing performance that the kids still talk about and ask me when will he return! The songs are fun, catchy and easy to remember. If you don’t have Dr. T’s music then your guidance curriculum is not complete. I highly recommend it.” Darren Tagliarini – Guidance Counselor …..the one I enjoyed the most was R-e-s-p-e-c-t, that spells respect! The reason why I liked that one so much is because when you started singing my class sang along with you. Also the way you said “Thank you, thank you very much” the way Elvis said it. I also learned to treat others the way I want to be treated. Jessica S. Dr. T., “My favorite video was Respectful. I like that video because of the singing…….these videos will help others be more caring and respectful.” Corinn 4th grader “It is wonderful to see kids excited about words they previously did not understand. When I say “trustworthy”, they are immediately responsive because they have a first hand knowledge of the word. They feel that the traits taught in character education apply to them and their world.” Thanks, Mrs. Mendez, Guidance counselor Dear Dr. T., “Just a quick thanks for the Dr. T. videos! They were so effective and motivating. I have watched my students refer to your songs when solving conflicts. Thanks for all you do for kids.” Mrs. Pat S. 4th grade teacher “I thought it was a very good idea and all the kids enjoyed it. All the younger kids sung along…” Katie 5th grader “Dear Dr. T, Your songs and videos are great. When I went to other schools WOW I knew nothing can compare to your videos and songs you make. Never let down on that great job Mr.T.” Holden 5th grader “I liked it, you looked good as Elvis. I liked it because it teaches people who have no manners. And these kids were bullies to me and are being nicer. Once I found a dollar bill but I asked who’s it was.” Landon S. 3rd grader “I thought the characteristics videos were very good because they taught us to be caring, thoughtful and respectful and that is having great characteristics.” Jocelyn A. 3rd grader “Thank you, thank you very much. You are a great inspiration. While watching Responsibility I led my class by putting up my hands and waving our hands left and right……I had learned to take responsibility and be more honest and you are the most hilarious man in the world and you are an inspiration to kids, teenagers and adults.” Nicholas 4th grader “The students really enjoy watching character ed. They still sing “Be Honest.” Ms. Denson 2nd grade teacher “Thanks for putting together the character crew songs. My kids love listening and sometimes dancing to the songs. I know it’s leaving a lasting impression because they are using some of the lessons taught and at least they are singing them in the halls and at recess. Good work!” Mr. Spehar 5th grade teacher Dr. T. delights the children’s hearts as he informs their minds. His high energy presentations are skillfully crafted with wonderful catchy tunes which sing out the important messages of harmony, respect, trustworthiness, etc. Children really tune in, really get involved and really learn! Susan Mc Gill 1st grade teacher Dr. T. gives ideas for what to do when you’re having trouble. Quinn 1st grader …..I certainly liked the song Responsible…..the best part was when you said Yes I did it, I was the one and I apologize for what I’ve done I am the responsible one. It makes people not lie to any one. I want to be just like you when I grow up.
