You had better hold on to your seat cushions, as the trio abides by a disciplined, high-octane rock approach amid knotty time signatures and rigidly orchestrated unison runs. On this release, the listener will be treated to pounding grooves, honed down by Anders' swift, double bass drum work and polyrhythmic fills. And of course, Hellborg slaps and smacks his electric bass into submission to coincide with Jens' dirty Hammond B-3 sound. The added value here resides within the soloists' penchant for injecting memorable riffs and melodies into these generally blitzing works. However, the proceedings calm down to a whisper on the final cut, "Sovjet," where Hellborg executes a quaint melody atop Jens' church organ motif featuring a reverent, hymn-like vibe. Highly recommended.
