Although this album was produced 20 years ago, it languished despite outstanding reviews including the Baltimore Sun's "find of the season" in December of 1990. By using the Romanian panpipe, even well-known carols such as "Adeste Fideles" and "Joy to the World" are given fresh interpretations. The haunting melodies of Romanian folk carols (colinde) are interspersed giving this recording a unique place in the rich field of Christmas recordings.
