Kitty Corbin is a Reggae, Roots and Lovers singer/songwriter. Kitty embarked on her musical journey from North West London, UK where she became a local celebrity, performing at community events, and hosting mic nights to encourage young talent. In 2009 Kitty entered a talent contest. Her performance earned her a presentation from Brent MP, Dawn Butler, and a recording session from which her single ‘Golden Rule’ was recorded. It was produced by all female band, Sista Women In Reggae and released on the compilation ‘Livity Series’ album on their SWR label. From there Kitty found herself on stage working with some of reggae’s finest including Lee Scratch Perry, Michael Prophet, Vivian Jones, Alton Ellis, and The Congos. Kitty was the supporting act for the legendary Abyssinians on their 2013 UK tour. Kitty joined the Charmax Band as backing vocalist and opening act for Max Romeo in 2013 and performed on tours across Europe, sharing the stage with the likes of Busy Signal, Romain Virgo, Capleton, The Gladiators. That year, Kitty was also nominated for an award in the ‘Best Newcomer’ category at the annual BRIA (British Reggae Industry Awards) ceremony. In 2014 Kitty received TV media attention in the Caribbean when she was a finalist in the nationwide Reggae Star Factor talent competition, and the following year she was doing performances, TV and radio interviews in Trinidad and Jamaica. ‘Golden Rule’, Kitty Corbin’s debut album is a compilation of works recorded with some of the UKs most prominent producers, including Stingray, Starrvybz Entertainment, Peckings, Real Talk Productions UK, Gary Digitec, Deenie Element.
