简介
Dannie Marie is a Cali girl with a country soul. Influenced by artists and bands such as Carrie Underwood, Florida Georgia Line, and Taylor Swift, Dannie Marie’s brand of pop country music has been described as “bro country with a dose of estrogen.” The album features nine original songs that were recorded in Nashville with some of Music City’s top studio and touring musicians. Two of the tracks were released to country radio as singles -- ANYTHING I WANNA BE and COUNTIN' DOWN SUMMERTIME. After hearing the title track, KWCK Program Director Heath Shelby said, “I LOVE the message!” WLX Music Director Kenny Beckman described the second single, COUNTIN' DOWN SUMMERTIME, as “an awesome song, fun, upbeat, a little mix of Kelsea Ballerini and Florida Georgia Line; the perfect soundtrack to any summertime play list.” Hitting the road with her younger brother backing her on acoustic guitar and their mom driving the family minivan, Dannie Marie toured 12 states and performed in conference rooms and on-air at more than 40 radio stations from California to Tennessee to promote her songs and get reported on the Music Row Chart. In August 2016, she released the official music video for COUNTIN' DOWN SUMMERTIME, which was filmed in her hometown of Alpine, California and had its film festival World Premiere at San Diego Film Week in February 2017. Depending on the venue, Dannie Marie plays live shows as an acoustic trio or with a full band. They played their biggest show to date last year at one of America's most popular country music festivals – Arizona’s Country Thunder -- on the same stage where Chris Janson (Buy Me A Boat) got his start a few years prior. They recently played at the legendary Viper Room in Hollywood. Dannie Marie won the local round of the 34th annual Country Showdown in 2015 at the Colorado River Fair in Blythe, California when she performed her original song, COUNTIN' DOWN SUMMERTIME. Dannie Marie took some time off from music for a couple years to pursue another one of her passions – acting. In 2013, Dannie moved from San Diego to Hollywood, where she appeared in music videos, commercials, TV shows and several movies. You may recognize her as the blonde backup singer in Itch’s official music video for “Another Man,” a song that went platinum in Australia. Just after graduating from high school in 2010 -- with her motto “rock stars don’t go to college” -- Dannie spent two years as the lead singer in The Dannie Marie Band and played gigs around their hometown of San Diego. The band released a 3-song EP in 2010; got placement in a feature film for one of their original songs; and received recognition for their FLAVOR OF THE WEEK music video at film festivals (including a Golden Reel Award for Best Music Video at the Nevada Film Festival).
